Louisiana man pleads guilty to over $550,000 in Airline fraudulent baggage claims

NEW ORLEANS, (BRPROUD)- U.S Attorney of Eastern District of Louisiana Duane A. Evans announces the verdict of 31-year-old Pernell Anthony Jones of Kenner, Louisiana who pleaded guilty for multiple violations of Conspiracy to Commit Mail Fraud claiming lost airline luggage.

LPB to showcase limited series film project Hindsight: Louisiana

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- The Louisiana Public Broadcast (LPB) will broadcast the premiere of an LPB-produced limited series, Hindsight: Louisiana. The series highlights two Louisiana-based filmmakers, Zac Manuel and Kiyoko McCrae. The news was announced in a press release on Monday, November 1.

Federal agency sues Louisiana company over hair discrimination

NEW ORLEANS, La (BRPROUD) – The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s New Orleans office (EEOC) filed a suit against Shreveport-based American Screening LLC this week for allegedly violating the civil rights of an African American employee when it fired her for wearing her hair naturally.

BATON ROUGE, La (BATON ROUGE)- The Clinic and Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC) selected sixty fellow youth students to participate in the Health Fellows Program, scholarships opportunity.
